Altair was in a desperate situation in the first sequence, so logically he would try to take out as many people in as many ways as possible in innovative ways. And that sequence is when Altair supposedly had the first idea for the air assassination. In addition, the data supposedly for the cd case supposedly came from shaun, (in the game, not in real life ) who was busy, and being hunted by templars. Also, the secret crusade stated that the Polos were in charge of founding the western assassins, and that they were trained/mentored by Altair. The auditore family crypt stated the domenico auditore was trained by  marco polo. So, therefore it is highly unlikely that Altair could have been related to the auditore family anyway, BASED ON INFO THAT IS NOT FROM ACR
