Like the previous comments, no.  So many games are based in New York or make games that are similar to New York.  Like FTGM said, we live in a world with machine guns and other type of weaponry.  Why would an assassin destory the enviroment?  Unless he is strategically picking off templars.  Doing a leap of faith from a skyscrapper to a WM garbage would be awesome though and it would've been awesome if that happened in Assassin's Creed 3 with the first Desmond mission.
