No-one is throwing their toys out of the pram at you. You are simply failing to listen to what we are explaining to you.

The bias is not on our part. We are not trying to revere the Assassins as having greater morals than the Templars, we are simply iterating that the Templars would go farther and be crueler to see their goals come to fruition, from what has been established already.

This is not us glorifying the Assassins, this is the developers' intention, as the whole aim of the game development cycle is to make a character that is relatable and makes the player feel good for engaging with them as they emulate the character's life (as it is written).

Ubisoft want us to feel good for playing their game. They make the protagonist we play as seem more morally just than the people they oppose, and surround that protagonist with like-minded allies. This has led to the assumption that whatever wrong the Assassin Order does sets a lower precedent than that of the Templars' actions, even though from a completely neutral perspective, their actions are good and evil alike. We merely get shown less of the Assassins' moments of brutality because being on the "good side" sells well.
