and just looked through the links, ancient Egypt? awe, no Altair descendent, and likely few weapons. Probably even pre hidden blade!! That's the signature of the Assassin's, without that will it even feel like Assassin's Creed, ugh time will tell. I'll still get it, but I'm skeptical. At least they are bringing ships back. But to what extent? This is pre canons so how well will naval combat work? That is something I am interested in. Especially since it likely means multiple "Cities" or at least more then one location.
It won't be pre-hidden blade. I mean, yes, technically the first "recorded use" was Darius, but that is easily circumvented. Don't worry, if there's one thing that's never going to disappear from this series, it's the Hidden Blade.

I'm quite interested to see what they do with the story, considering the creative freedom they have in terms of historical accuracy due to the lack of historical records from Ancient Egypt compared to Colonial America, Victorian London, or even Rennaisance Italy or the Crusades. Also considering it's apparently pre-Assassins/Templars, or at least around the time that these organisations are just setting up, I'd be interested to see what they're doing with the lore. Yes, they don't have any lore set before this time to really stick to, which frees things up a bit, but they do have to stick to what previous games have said about the past, for example with Darius being the first recorded use of the hidden blade, and it'll be interesting to see how they get around or stick to things like that. I'll also be looking forward to how they handle religion in this game; yes it's still thousands of years since the "Toba Catastrophe" but it's far closer to the war than any other game, and I'm excited to see how they handle the Isu/Precursors/TOWCB and Pieces of Eden in relation to this proximity to the war. Will everyone have forgotten by now that the Isu existed and now use their myth purely as an "inspiration" for gods, will people understand the Pieces of Eden for what they may have been or will they just think of them as magic, etc. Rather hoping this leak turns out to be legit just so I can get some answers to these questions in 20 or so months!
