I think that audio file in Rogue where Berg was looking for the Ankh and says he thinks it is not an actual artifact was Ubisoft's way of saying the artifact isn't a real artifact in the main canon. So I wouldn't place my bets on it, but I might be wrong.

The Ankh is definitely canonical. Only the Modern Day portions of the French Comics are considered non-canon.
