The precursor-damned sword of eden. I thought the thing was broken in the fight between Arno and Germain. Now that I think on it. It makes sense that the device was not broken at that moment. For if a piece of eden were to be destroyed, something akin to the Tunguska explosion would have happened right?
So, what? It ran out of power? and the heart thingamajig was the power source? The missing piece to make the sword whole again?
Amazing how an Iphone and cannot hold It's charge for 2 hours, but the SWORD OF FRIGGING EDEN held it's power for over 300 years after it was seperated from it's power source.(When Joan lost it. Stupid stupid Joan.)
And the sword running out of power during the Germain fight is kinda like how you would look to your phone in a time of need only to find it out of battery. Very unfortunate.
All in all, I think the book was really great at explaining the situation and further expanding on the sword narrative in the modern day.
I forgot how to sign so please excuse me if I mess this up.
