Assassinate
Assassinate is an online multiplayer mode in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. It was added with the Animus Project Update 3.0 downloadable content, and is currently one of the most popular multiplayer game modes available.
This game mode is a free-for-all game mode which requires players to differentiate NPC to Player, and therefore kill their chosen target. Players only acculate points if successful Player Targets have been chosen. Players do not get points for choosing and then killing civilians. If fact, if a Player kills a civilian in sight of a Player, they are vulnerable to their attacks, and therefore make them a target.
The ideals of Assassinate are to not react to a target's lock-ons to their persona and when their purser chooses a new target, quickly lock-on to their ex-purser, and make them their target. Because your detection meter doesn't lower/raise when you don't have a target, some Players try a non-triggered chase, where it comes down to the Player who wants a fight or is just teasing.
If a Player can target their Purser, their Purser's detection meter will instantly drop to extremely lower, and if they use high profile will start a chase with their target. The negative about this perk is this tells Pursers that you are in fact a player and not a NPC because they can't lock-on, or in fact play the game itself.
