Assassin's Creed III
Although Ubisoft has not confirmed anything yet creative director Patrice Desiliets has said that there will be an Assassins Creed 3. This installment will see Desmond become the ultimate assassin.

At E3 2009 he exclaimed “I’m telling you. At the end of AC2 you’ll say‚ ‘Holy crap, I never saw it coming!’ There will be a cliffhanger. It’s cool to have a cliffhanger,” that leads into Assassin’s Creed 3. As for the writing on the wall Patrice says “It has nothing to do with Assassin’s Creed 2, it has to do with the Assassin’s Creed universe, not the second one.”

More recently as Patrice was wrapping up production on Assassin’s Creed 2’s in September he mentions he’s looking forward to rounding out the trilogy. “I have many different ideas. I’m not ready yet to exploit them. I think I have some juice left in me left to continue this. I’ve been doing Assassin’s Creed games for the past six years. It’s tough to be bored. I was a bit bored with the Turk crusade and the monk aspect, and everything, but in this there’s a brand new setting. And it’s my first sequel; I never did a sequel before, because I didn’t do any Prince of Persia sequels. I love the idea of refining your ideas, the gameplay and what you can do with it. So I’m not bored yet.”
I wonder what change of scenery we can expect in Assassin’s Creed 3? This game will most likely be released on or just before December 21st 2012.
Possible Locations:
Here are some rumoured locations of AC3:
- Nazi Germany: Since Hitler was a Templar and possessed a Piece of Eden, it is likely that this could be a location of AC3.
- Revolutionary Russia: Quite a good setting for AC3, a good plotline could be that the Templars were behind the revolution.
- Britain in the Industrial Revolution: Since in AC2 and the oringinal AC weapons are rewarded throughout the game, this would be a good spot for new types of weapons and gadgets.
- Pre World War 1 Austria: Perhaps the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand that caused WW1 could be an assassin assassination.
- Planet X: Planet X is the codename for a planet that revolves around our sun but has not been discovered. I have nicknamed the planet that those who came before lived on Planet X. A possible location for AC3 could be the Planet X in the run up to destruction.
- Civil War America: One of the most important events in history could be the final location for the Assassin's Creed trilogy.
- Assassin's Creed III could also be set in several different locations at several time periods, with Desmond only stepping into the Animus to try and find something to help him out in the fight against the Templars in the present.
