Thief, I need a quick translation. If you really are Italian, then what's Italian for "The Sleeping Fox"? Jacques le BlancReception Area 05:53, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
Il Fox di sonno. :D --THIEF 05:56, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
- Really? I was expecting a different sentence. La Volpe mentioned a different translation in Brotherhood. It was "La Volpe ________" Think you can fill that blank? --Jacques le BlancReception Area 05:59, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
- Whoops, sorry. I wasn't concentrating. I actually wrote 'Fox'. Meeh! The correct translation is "la volpe di sonno". Hope it helped. --THIEF 06:12, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
- You're embarrasing me, Thief XD
War, the word I think you want is "addormentato". It means to be sleepy or in the act of sleep (also know as "sleeping"). "Di sonno" usually refers to the act itself, not to doing it. ;D -- D. Cello 11:02, November 29, 2010 (UTC)- Well, I'm not that good at Italian. My native language is English, sorry.. :( --THIEF 23:45, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, that word sounds like what La Volpe said. Thanks Cello! :D Jacques le BlancReception Area 12:07, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
Hey Thief, how about you come on msn some time? -- Master Sima Yi 08:37, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
Sure. I only use it inside this wiki, I'll go on right now if you want? Although I am a bit busy. :P --THIEF 08:40, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
- I am online right now. It'd be nice to get to know my fellow staff members a bit more, if you're not too busy. 'Cause if you are, then you musn't. I don't want to keep you from what you are busy with. -- Master Sima Yi 08:42, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
- For some reason eBuddy is spitting out error messages, do you think we could use the IRC? Cheers --THIEF 08:51, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
- You're using eBuddy, eh? I highly doubt you don't have msn installed on your computer, unless you have an Apple computer. Maybe you could look for it. Though I'll try to use the IRC first. If I can figure out how it works... -- Master Sima Yi 08:53, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I use eBuddy. My MSN application stuffed on my computer, one corrupted installation and not even a clean reg wipe or directory wipe and reinstall can fix it.. oO Thanks. :D --THIEF 08:55, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I had the same thing once on one of our computers. Though I installed the latest version some time later and it worked, surprisingly. I think I got the IRC working. -- Master Sima Yi 08:57, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
Istruttorium
I would like to request application for the Istruttorium as I have reached nearly 600 edits that include expanding, reformatting and rephrasing multiple articles to be both grammatically correct and easy to read. As a writer, I am always particular about word choice and grammar, thus I think I can be helpful in reviewing and correcting any article.
I hope that's an acceptable pitch. Thanks very much for any consideration :) =GuardDog 06:49, November 11, 2010 (UTC)
- Sure! I agree, mate. You'll see your nom. in a second. Hope you get good results. --THIEF 06:56, November 11, 2010 (UTC)
- Thief! Remember all that merit thing you came up with? We could start using it, ya know? Do you have a place somewhere with all of them listed and etc? -- D. Cello 14:02, November 11, 2010 (UTC)
- Cello! Have ya been flogging too much alcohol or somethun? They're right here!! :D --THIEF 20:42, November 11, 2010 (UTC)
- Ay, I've been to busy with chicks and alcohol, mate. Not everybody lives a virtual life, you know? -- D. Cello 22:20, November 11, 2010 (UTC)

Hey Theif, sorry about the Launh Trailer spoiler D:
You don't have to be sorry, you didn't spoil anything for anyone, we know nothing of how Rodrigo will die. So Thief a epic trailer, right? ; ) AssassinRome 17:29, November 12, 2010 (UTC)

RE: User page question
Hi ThiefAC. That lower right section is the Top pages section, which lists the top 6 most edited pages by the user. The six boxes seen on the test page will automatically display an image from the article it links to. If no image exists on the article, the beginning text of the article is displayed, which is what you see on that test page. JoePlay<staff /> (talk) 01:16, November 13, 2010 (UTC)
Random
Hey Thief, what you did works, but typically I put the <choose> between the <center> tag so the transformer is not called repeatedly. See Template:Portal/Component/Quotes for an example. In the end it's just a matter of preference I suppose. Cheers and thanks for the compliments. -- tierrie talk contr 07:44, November 13, 2010 (UTC)
Merits
Thief. Since you introduced the merits to D (and technically, me also :D) you should introduce this to the other staff members, admins included. Same way you introduced it to D. It's official now, right? So it's only normal that the other staff members make their own merits. --WarClownWanna Talk? 16:55, November 13, 2010 (UTC)

Rodrigo Borgia death
Hi Thief. From what we have seen in the Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood launch trailer Cesare, for some reason, got pissed off with his father and said "If I want you to die, you die!" and then atacked, do you actually think Cesare will kill Rodrigo? It could happen, no would see it coming. AssassinRome 15:16, November 14, 2010 (UTC)
- Nah, I don't think so. Honestly, I know Ubisoft would want you to think that, but to be honest, it's unlikely. If he does kill the pope, Cesare would be jailed, murdered, jailraped and necrophiliraped. Hahahaha. :D What do you think? --THIEF 21:52, November 14, 2010 (UTC)

Hey James, I was intending to finish the memory projects before Brotherhood came out so we can move on to Brotherhood quickly, but due to personll reasons and due to the now confusing wiki I didn't have the time to continue, for the next 20 days I'll be in America agian to visit my old friends and family, so when i get back, or even when im there, ill try to finish the memories from AC2 :)Thanks for understanding. - Nice! Don't worry about it, mate. It's all good, family and friends are always more important than a wiki on the internet. Don't sweat it, everyone seems to have forgotten about it anyway, but it'll revive soon enough. :D Good luck in the US. --THIEF 20:25, November 16, 2010 (UTC)
Images Problem
Dunno who ask this question so I hope it's not a problem to be with you.
This morning I updated several pictures on the Chapter 1 - Bartolomeo d'Alviano but they don't seem to been updated at all. I mean, we can see that the size and the dimensions are from the new pictures I sent but what you actually see is still the old image! Is there some kind of bug with updated in the images? Is it just my computer messing up with me? Should I just upload a new image instead of updating the old one? Sekuiya 13:52, November 15, 2010 (UTC)
By the way, another question, I'm in the process on changing most of the pictures to full ones/clean ones, but they're mostly in .jpg while some in the article are in .png. Is there any specific process or should I just upload a new one with the .jpg and replace in the page? Sekuiya 14:32, November 15, 2010 (UTC)
- Sometimes it takes a while for pictures to update. If it doesn't update itself after a while, then I think it's best to just upload the better version at a separate file. That's just me though. Thief's the image expert here. --WarClownWanna Talk? 16:00, November 15, 2010 (UTC)
- Yep, what War said. I suggest uploading those images with different filenames. It's a bug with Wikia. Sorry for the inconvenience! :( --THIEF 21:08, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

Istruttori banner
Hey Thief, just something that's been bothering me-- I just noticed that there's incorrect grammar for the Istruttori member banner XD Yours and War's are correct, but the members' one isn't. It should be "This user is a member of the Istruttori, a team of editors who oversee, judge and uphold Good and Featured status..." not "...a team of editors who oversee, judges and uphold..."
Just thought I'd bring it up. It's a little ironic for an editor's banner to be incorrect :p Thanks =GuardDog 07:13, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

Auto-welcome
Hi, the auto-welcome bot has its edits listed on the Recent Changes. It might be a good idea to get the bot flagged as a bot by the VSTF or Wikia staff. If that is done, the bot will not spam the RC with welcomes. I can ask a staff/VSTF member to do so if you want. --Callofduty4 19:57, November 30, 2010 (UTC)
Oh, thanks! Only a 'crat can flag users as bots, you might want to inquire on his talkpage.
Cheers! --THIEF 21:12, November 30, 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, bureaucrats may not flag accounts as bots. I've asked a Wikia staff member and he has done so. The auto-welcomer won't spam the recent changes any more. --Callofduty4 18:45, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

- thief, those pics you jsut added to the pazzi article look terrible oO Did you had your settings on low? -- D. Cello 01:13, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Nah mate, that's how the scene is rendered in-game (it doesn't look THAT bad). I play with my settings on high. Some bits of the Pazzi Conspiracy Duomo scene are really good looking, some are not for some reason. Ubisoft forces low quality on that scene due to the amount of things happening (there is over a hundred civilians and about 20 guards, so there is reason for why they do it; it is stupid though). You can tell I play on high settings due to the quality of this picture. But yeah, there's not much we can do about that.. it's just how it is. Even with weird quality, how awesome is this picture? XD --THIEF 01:23, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
What the hell
Thief, I expected better from you. I mean, what the hell did you do to the Pazzi Conspiracy page!? Yeah, you replaced perfectly good images with slightly better images, but come on! You removed all the images I had put in there! What are you smoking!? Jacques le BlancReception Area 10:31, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
What? You have to be mistaken, all I did was add two images and replace the infobox image with a more important scene of the event; I think I replaced that glitched image of Giuliano getting slashed too. I don't see what I did wrong :(. If this is about you wanting the 'Added by War Clown' thing under some thumbnails, then just 'take credit' over my images. You only had one of your pictures removed anyway (that was from the body of the article); so I did not remove "all the images [you] put in there!". Calm down, you reverted my edit now anyway :\. Even though that current GiulianoSlash image is glitched, I guess i'll have to live with it. :( Sorry that you're dissapointed but I can't see how you'd yell and scream over this minor removal of one of the images you had uploaded (GiulianoSlash). Sorry, dude. I won't substitute one of your images again, mkay? :[ --THIEF 12:19, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
Check the history. What I saw was the removal of all the images, in place of 4 (great) images. This isn't about taking credit for pictures, Thief. It's about the article. All the other images were removed from the page. You can't have an article with only four images (Actually you can, it's the...you know what I'm saying) Let me repeat this: This isn't about taking credit for the work. Okay? I do this not for myself.... Why do people get the wrong impression when I say something? This I digress ._. Jacques le BlancReception Area 12:39, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
I thought so, I don't jump to conclusions and only expressed that as an "if", not a "why do you want credit?!?!"
Maybe it was a Wikia error that removed the images? Don't always jump to conclusions, mate.. I add images to articles all the time, seriously, I do. If I see an article with a huge gap of space, I try to fill it up because I appreciate pictures, and I only add in the awesome pictures too! I watch file uploads and stupid image additions like a freakin' hawk, I don't think i'd suddly go crazy and remove all these images purposely.
I've now checked the history and it was obviously a Wikia error (by the looks of it), it's happened to all of us atleast once. Do not jump to conclusions, it makes you look like a total ass. Jeez, you didn't even give me a chance. :P Cheers, --THIEF 12:47, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
To be fare, you yourself jumped to conclusions. You think this whole thing was for taking credit over the pictures, right? Right? Alright, I think everything's settled. I'll try to go easy on exclamation points next time I send a message. :P You can re-add the pictures again, just watch out. We might have another mishap. Chee-oh right. Hmm...lets see...I'll try to come up a trademark word on my own. :D Jacques le BlancReception Area 12:53, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I didn't jump to a conclusion.. :P 3rd paragraph, first line:
"I thought so, I don't jump to conclusions and only expressed that [that as in the 'credit thing'] as an "if", not a "why do you want credit?!?!"" Glad you're alright now. It wasn't my fault, afterall. Just doing what I do.. editing. ;-) --THIEF 13:07, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
Well, whatever the case, all is good, yeah? Alright, back to work then. :D Jacques le BlancReception Area 13:36, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
Also, what else was I supposed to think? You were blaming me, so of course I'd jump to a conclusion. I thought I removed one of your pictures (didn't know at the time that a Wikia error removed all); so the only clear way was to think that it was about you wanting that 'Added by War Clown' thing. Anyway, yeah. All good I suppose, though I didn't do anything wrong at all :P. --THIEF 21:22, December 6, 2010 (UTC)
Featured Media/Images/Whatever
Thief, could you please direct me to the template where you put your images featured at the front page? I found some good images while I was reading some articles, and I want to put them there. Also, didn't I tell you to put one pic per era? o_0 Jacques le BlancReception Area 16:34, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, you told me ages ago when Brotherhood was on the brink of being heard of, just a weeks ago I added some Brotherhood pictures alongside AC II ones, because everyone is interested in Brotherhood, and to add to that reason I couldn't really find anymore signifcant images (besides ones like "Altaïr kills a guard", "Altaïr plays with his Apple" :P, etc) and seriously, I did look long and hard. Though I had this in mind that you would notice some day and added the images in one, huge bulk (meaning there was a heap of code to work with) so I can easily undo it. Do you want me to undo it and add 1191 images as well? --THIEF 22:01, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
Also, the template is here. Good luck with the codes.. --THIEF 22:03, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
ACTUALLY-WAZZAT- WAIT! I have another rebuttal; technically "most" new pictures I added do follow your rule.. By the "one picture per era" rule, you should also count the Modern Times, eh? eh? :P *sighs* Now I'm just being a smartass, but whatever; it's worth it.. :D. On another note; most of the random images I inserted there were extracts from the previous Featured Media pictures chosen by Zwooooosh and D. Cello, just letting you know. --THIEF 22:13, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
- We MUST have pics of Altaïr. Don't matter if anyone thinks he is old or peiople are not interested, the guy is EXTREMELY improtant and he deserves a place. ;D -- D. Cello 23:09, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Alright, I'll add some I guess. Although my recent edit only added a few new pictures (w/o Altaïr), most others were FM from before War Clown was in the staff. :P --THIEF 23:16, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, Cello. I added more pictures of Altaïr. And I agree, the guy is extremely important, but most visitors here (read: visitors, NOT editors) have only played AC2 or Brotherhood. But yeah, I agree; pal. --THIEF 23:33, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Even better, mate! Let's show them how legenderaly awesome Altaïr was! How the hell they know Ezio and don't know his ancestor?? That's absurd! XD -- D. Cello 23:38, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, you guys seem to have resolved everything. All I can say is....uhmm...Carry on, I guess. Jacques le BlancReception Area 14:56, December 7, 2010 (UTC)
Vandalism
Hi Thief, how are you? Something important I must bring to your attention that we are getting more member some of them are creating articles based on their presence of a editor, removed straight away, some will destroy perfect good articles like the Desmond page, but unfortunately there is one wiki contributor who has created a lot of pages usually beginning with something like "forum:/" and then something like Desmond or "LOL" after it. I am not sure if he is banned as of yet by any admins, but I ask that if you see those kind of "contributions" again that person needs a automatice ban. AssassinRome 10:39, December 7, 2010 (UTC)
Good thanks, yourself? Yeah, I've noticed. I've had to delete a couple of them, thanks for the tip-off. :D The guy is blocked and article is deleted, by the way; all those page creations are from different people. Weird, eh? I have to go now, see ya mate. --THIEF 10:44, December 7, 2010 (UTC)
I'm good. Thats is great news, see you soon ; ) AssassinRome 10:48, December 7, 2010 (UTC)
thanks for the response!
Yes I'm on PS3 and your answer helped. I was able to return to orginal brotherhood outfit by follwoing your steps. Thanks!
Userboxes?
Hey Thief! Master Sima Yi said I should ask you about userboxes cause your good at making them! Is there or can you make a userbox for Brotherhood? 'This user has cleared Brotherhood' like the other games.. Also I seen on Sigridtheassassin's page that she has a userbox for courtesans, is there ones like this for theives/mercenaries etc? I didn't see these on the userbox gallery.. Thanks man!Subject AMDR 14:17, December 10, 2010 (UTC)
- Oh wait, it wasn't Thief, it was War Clown. Sorry, mixed them up. :) Though maybe Thief is good at making them as well. -- Master Sima Yi 14:50, December 10, 2010 (UTC)
No harm done.. thanks again! Subject AMDR 15:48, December 10, 2010 (UTC)
Picture preferences
Hey Thief. I thought I'd involve you on a couple of points I want to bring up with my fellow users.
Right, firtstly: Something that has been bugging me for a little while now is the number of pictures on this wiki that depict Ezio in a variety of different colour robes that, canonically, we don't know he ever wore. It's all well and good to assume that, since the option to dye clothes is in-game he canonically did it, but which colour, and when? The same goes for the armour. I think we need to take a good look at all the pictures on-site that depict Ezio wearing coloured robes and, if possible, replace them with similar photos showing Ezio in white robes (and if possible without armour).
My second point is the number of photos on site that, unfortunately, include some of the, for lack of a better word, "Animus glow". A prime example of what I mean can be seen in this photo, which shows Ezio's target in a white glow. Now, unless the image is being used to depict something explicitly related to the Animus, I think we should once again replace all these photos with something that does not show the Animus glow.
I know this will probably take some time, and be a large amount of work, but I do think it will be a positive contribution to the wiki, as well as a positive form of mutual interaction between the site's contributors. What do you think? --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 19:53, January 7, 2011 (UTC)
- Well, firstly-- the robes.. these don't really bother me as they do you, but you can get an easy grasp on the timeline by looking at what pattern/colour they are-- as certain ones (such as the Forli "wetland coloured" ones unlock once you visit Forli), but for the most part it's something that really couldn't be fixed, as there are a lot of good quality images on this wiki. About the armour, that shouldn't really be a big deal-- because I'm sure that armour would be one of the first things that a player would save up for (next to weapons). I'm really tired-- so I'll use an example.
- Say a bunch of images of the same mission are all submitted by different users-- it is highly likely that they all have mostly the same armour (could have a few different vanguards or something)-- due to not being able to afford the next set (not enough missions completed). Unless they're HEAVY side-mission junkies or frequent civilian pickpocketers, you shouldn't worry about that.
- Okay, now the Animus glow. I don't think that is something that could be helped. You can always photoshop them out, but Animus fragments appear even when the player kills a single guard, civilian or target-- it also happens if the player runs into a wall, lol. They're in almost every cutscene-- I think we just have to live with it, I've replayed the games (especially AC2) quite a few times to get images for this wiki already.. I'm really not going to look forward to playing through again, sorry :\. You also have to keep in mind what the readers (our 52,000+ daily guests) think about our articles, do you think they notice, and for that matter, care about small things such as that? I know it breaks the realism of some images-- but it really can't be helped. Sorry, man. :(
I think the Animus fragments are improved upon in Brotherhood at least. You are free to do whatever you wish, though. It's a good idea, but it's going to be tough-- what with all the new Brotherhood articles and projects being created. Good luck. :) Thanks for consulting me, I really appreciate it. - --THIEF 23:34, January 7, 2011 (UTC)

Character infobox change discussion
Hey there, just a quick message to link you to a discussion on changes that are going to be made to our Character Infobox in the (hopefully) short future. If you could spread the word it would be greatly appreciated. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 23:37, January 9, 2011 (UTC)
Page merge suggestion
Hey Thief,
I was looking at some of the stubs and there are two article stubs that I think we could merge..Acquedotto Claudia and Aqueducts. Both refer to the Aquaducts of Rome, but we would obviously show that one (Claudia) is a landmark that can be renovated and the other, is a mission/secret location. I also think we could get a picture of the map, showing the locations of the Aquaduct renovation spots, and also of the Aquaduct itself. Hopefully this'll help get rid of two stubs.. What do you think? Let me know and I will work away, Thanks Subject AMDR 12:10, January 11, 2011 (UTC)
- Hi there, mate. Acquedotto Claudia deserves its own article-- as it IS a special landmark.. though what you can do is create a section for Claudia on the Aqueducts page with a small descripition and link to the article. ;) This'll atleast fit the Aqueducts article with enough infomation to not be a stub (can't say the same for Claudia yet, though I'm guessing we'll squeeze a bit more information into that article in the near future).
- I'm not too sure about your second question, I guess it'll be reasonable. Unfortunatley the PC version of Brotherhood hasn't been released yet so I'm not to keen on the game yet. But if you think it's a good idea, then go ahead! This place is a community-driven wiki-- anything you think is reasonable enough to add to an article should be added, and if it's a bad move-- our kind users would contact you. :) Happy editing and thanks for contacting me, I appreciate it. --THIEF 13:43, January 11, 2011 (UTC)
As for the second part I was just making suggestions for getting more content onto Claudia's article but I'm not too good with uploading the pictures and all myself, so maybe someone else can sort it out later..
That's great, thanks for the feedback, I'll add the section and de-stub the Aqueducts article. [[Special:Contributions/87.232.59.247|Subject AMDR 14:25, January 11, 2011 (UTC)]]
- No worries, glad to help. --THIEF 23:44, January 11, 2011 (UTC)
