14th century

1321

  • On 14 September, Dante Alighieri is killed by the Templars.[1]
  • The Italian Assassins find out about the continuing existence of the Templars, and Domenico Auditore is given the Codex to take with him to Spain.[1]
  • While laying anchor in the Otranto harbor, Domenico Auditore's ship is ambushed by pirates hired by the Templars to retrieve the Codex. Domenico scattered the Codex pages into chests, though Domenico and his family were attacked by the pirates. Domenico's wife was raped and murdered, but Domenico and his son survived, making their way to the beach.[1]

1324

  • Marco Polo is killed by the Templars circa January 9.[2]
  • Domenico Auditore's father is killed by the Templars.[2]
  • Domenico Auditore buys and renovates a villa in Monteriggioni, which from that moment on was known as the Villa Auditore. Monteriggioni became the headquarters of the Italian Assassins.[1]

1338

  • The German Lukas Zurburg is saved by the Assassins from a road thief while traveling to Adendorf, and joins their Order.[3]

1348

  • The Brothers of the Cross, a secret Templar organization, travel through Germany offering the people protection from the plague. Their real objective was to find the Ankh.[3]

1350

  • The Brothers of the Cross and Lukas Zurburg misteriously vanish from public view.[3]

15th century

1402

  • Zhu Di, aided by the Templars, becomes the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty of China, taking on the name Yongle Emperor.[3]
  • The Yongle Emperor orders the capture and execution of thousands of Assassins in China. Thousands of Chinese Assassins were killed, including their leader Fang Xiaoru. Li Tong and an Assassin apprentice escaped with an Apple of Eden.[3]

1424

  • On 12 August, the Yongle Emperor of China is assassinated by the Assassin Li Tong while trying to suppress a rebellion near the Gobi Desert.[3]

1431

  • Joan of Arc is burned at the stake on 31 May by the Templars, who were after the Sword of Eden that Joan had in her possession.[1]

16th century

1509

  • An earthquake strikes Constantinople, marking the leave of Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II and the secret return of the Templars, now fighting under the Byzantine banner.[4]

1519

  • Leonardo da Vinci dies in the Clos Lucé in Amboise on 2 May, with his friends Ezio Auditore and Niccolò Machiavelli at his side.[5]

19th century

1832

  • Ludger Duvernay, a Canadian journalist and Assassin, posts a number of articles accusing the Canadian administration of serving the Château Clique, the leaders of the Templar Order.[3]
  • Ludger Duvernay is arrested on orders of the Château Clique, who even rallied the public against Duvernay. The Assassins eventually freed Duvernay, and he founded the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Society after his release, hoping to gain indepence for Canada.[3]
