...wow, my profile pic really looks like some Russian fairy tale.
About me
Formerly just a watcher. That's what I tended to do before actually signing up for this wiki. I would just lurk around, reading and reading and reading, and never editing myself. To be perfectly honest, I don't feel as if I deserve to edit on other people's works right now. I guess I'm still just a watcher, huh...? Well, I can fix that later. Even if I need to get off my ass and walk the walk sometime, maybe I can help some of you with your articles.
By the way, random fact: To all the English-speaking Canadians out there who would ask, yes I am Quebecois (or French Canadian), and no, I'm not a separatist.

Quotes
Herea are some (ok, many) quotes that I find interesting, brainy quotes if you must. Please take note that some of those quotes are from real individuals and others from fictional characters. Also, note that the fact that I put them here means they reflect my opinions. In fact, I disagree with many of them (especially Aleister Crowley's et those from the Sword of Truth series). Those quotes are only meant to make one think, whether he agrees with them or not.
- "May you live in interesting times" (may or may not be a real Chinese curse)
- Vi veri universum vivus vici (translation: By the force of truth, I have conquered the universe while living". Magickal motto the English occultist Aleister Crowley took as the new Magister Templi)
- Ordinary morality is only for ordinary people. (Aleister Crowley)
In the absence of willpower the most complete collection of virtues and talents is wholly worthless. (Aleister Crowley)
"If the king does not lead, how can he expect his subordinates to follow?" (Lelouch vi Britannia, Code Geass)
"But forcing your good intentions on others is no different from an evil act." (Lelouch vi Britannia, Code Geass)
"That ... I ... I reject you, and I reject everything you believe. Why do people lie, it isn't only because they struggle against each other, it's also because there is something that they're seeking. You now want a world without change. How stagnant, you could hardly call it life. The same as a world of memories, just a world that's closed and completed, that's a place I wouldn't want to live in." (Lelouch vi Britannia, Code Geass)
But who elected them? It was you! You who appointed these people! You who gave them the power to make your decisions for you! While I'll admit that anyone can make a mistake once, to go on making the same lethal errors century after century seems to me nothing short of deliberate. (V, V for Vendetta)
People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people. (V, V for Vendetta)
This is only the land of take-what-you-want. Anarchy means "without leaders", not "without order". With anarchy comes an age of ordnung, of true order, which is to say voluntary order... this age of ordung will begin when the mad and incoherent cycle of verwirrung that these bulletins reveal has run its course... This is not anarchy, Evey. This is chaos. (V, V for Vendetta)
I dare do all that may become a man; Who dares do more is none. (Macbeth, Macbeth)
- People are stupid. They can be made to believe any lie because either they want to believe it's true or because they are afraid it's true. (Wizard's First Rule, Wizard's First Rule, Sword of Truth series)
- Willfully turning aside from the truth is treason to one's self. (Wizard's Tenth Rule, Phantom, Sword of Truth series)
- Seek the truth not through others, but through yourself.(interpretation of the Wizard's Eleventh Rule, Confessor, Sword of Truth series)
- You can destroy those who speak the truth, but you cannot destroy the truth itself. (Wizard's Twelfth Rule, The Omen Machine, Sword of Truth series)
- "Above all else, my children, be hard. For what is done for love is beyond good and evil." (Friedrich Nietzsch)
- Integrity
Truth, loyalty are private virtues; kings
Do as they will. (Atreus, Thyestes) - Heaven and Hell suppose two distinct species of men, the good and the bad. [...]But the greatest part of mankind float betwixt vice and virtue. (David Hume)
- "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them." (Malvolio, Twelfth Night)
