Talk:Wei Yu
Unnecesary information?
I don't think the information about the meteor and mercury pills on this page have anything to do with Wei Yu. Wei Yu killed Qin Shi Huang(di) with a spear, in the games' universe, not with any other thing. But I don't know why this info is on Wei Yu's page, so I will not remove it immediatly. Can someone explain, if there is anything to explain at all? Master Sima Yi 18:01, December 19, 2009 (UTC)
True history?
Searching through Chinese History books, I see no one with a name Wei Yu who killed Qin Shi Huang. It is true that the king himself has been a prominent assassination target, but among the assassins who attempted(and failed) to kill him, no one was name Wei Yu.
According to Record of the Grand Historian (Chinese: 史記), Qin Shi Huang died without a specific cause, while some study indicated that the King died due to overdose of mercury, which was meant to grant him immortal life ironically.
So, did Ubisoft invent this person to serve as an in-game figure, or did they misunderstand the history?--Pixy132 04:38, December 31, 2009 (UTC)
He's fictional. They just invented him as the Master Assassin who killed Qin Shi Huangdi. All the other Assassins are fictional too. Like that Altaïr and Ezio didn't exist neither. Master Sima Yi 13:12, December 31, 2009 (UTC)
ic, Altair and Ezio were fake i know... but...hmm...i thought those western ones (like the one who killed Caesar) were real...
anyway, thanks for the clarification~ --Pixy132 13:25, January 2, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, Caligula (Caesar) was assassinated, but not by the one on this site. All of the people in the Assassins category are fictional (with a few exceptions such a Dante Alighieri, a real-life poët, but they weren't Assassins in real life). - Master Sima Yi 17:25, January 2, 2010 (UTC)
