Talk:Mummification
Move to "Mummy"[edit source]
I have been considering that this article should be at "Mummy" instead of "Mummification" for quite some time. I'm pretty sure I was the first to create the redlink to "Mummification" too, and I was then unsure, and I am still unsure now. What are the arguments for and against these two options? - Wouldn't it be fine to keep it as is? This goes into the process of mummification and some other cultural things *as* well as being about the actual mummies. VilkaIsBack (talk) 04:21, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- I think it would be fine either way, but it is perfectly valid for an article titled "mummy" to be about the whole process of mummification too, as is the Wikipedia article. Personally, the only con with titling this "Mummification" in my experience is that it's a longer word, and most of the time when I'm linking to it, I happen to be using the word mummy not mummification, so it makes the linking a little awkward and round-about.
