Inaccurate info

I'm pretty sure, the riots weren't incited by Yeltsin, but rather by an attempted coup by communist party hardliners in August 91' that was meant to overthrow Gorbachev. Boris Yeltsin was opposed to it, and he backed the people in stopping it. Shortly after, the remaining republics of the USSR declared independence (not really due to rioting) and the Soviet Union was dissolved. The rift doesn't seem to explicitly mention anything having happened differently in the AC universe.

All it mentions is the Belavezhskaya Forest meeting where Boris Yeltsin (then president of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, basically the Russian republic of the USSR, with Soviet republics being almost like states in the US or provinces in Canada) and the leaders of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic and Belarussian Soviet Socialist Republic declared their republics independent, effectively ending the Soviet Union.
