External Relations/Connection

I just remembered that the Crystal Skulls were in Indiana Jones 4 and they had some kind of mind-controlling power over Indie and the old guy, who was supposedly insane until he was around it again. And then the evil lady died because the knowledge they stored was too much for her to handle, and in that movie they referred to that knowledge as treasure. So maybe the Skulls in AC and IJ are the same, except for the fact that the Crystal Skulls would actually be a bone from one of TWCB, since they aren't aliens. What do you guys think?
