It can't be, The Officer uses a dagger and wears renaissance clothing. This guy wears armor and has a sword. :P

The soldier is a multiplayer character I can prove it. On YouTube type up Assassin's creed brotherhood harlequin trailer he kills the soldier and blacksmith.
