Historiographical name

I thought this should be noted somewhere. "Byzantine" is a historiographical name not used by the Byzantine Empire itself during its existence. Its people referred to themselves as "Romans" as it was technically an eastern continuation of the Roman Empire. It is therefore curious that this rite is named the Byzantine Rite, and I'm wondering if the Templars in-universe applied the name retroactively... All this of course, is just speculation, and we will have to use the name as given in The Essential Guide. I'm wondering if the fact "Byzantine" is historiographical should be mentioned in trivia though. I'm leaning against it partially because I suppose in-universe, maybe the Templars were the ones using it first and that's how it became the common historiographical name much later.
