AC3: L timeline

I just realized something...Aveline is inducted into the order 6 years before the game takes place. Unless we have a memory sequence that takes place in 1759 where she's inducted as a younger woman, teenager, child, whatever, does this make sense to anyone? It doesn't to me; someone please clarify....
