Date of Death

Should we add the real life date of death of Ana Anderson as Anastasia's? The Wikia Editor (talk) 11:38, February 12, 2016 (UTC)

Yes, we should. That's what I've been thinking since I found out that in this game Anastasia became Anna. GamerSophie (talk) 16:16, February 12, 2016 (UTC)

No, because it's speculative. They're already taking liberties with actual history, and I feel that this is a case similar to Anne Bonny where she has a completely different death date. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 16:23, February 12, 2016 (UTC)

Also, the historical Anna Anderson actually claimed to be Anastasia Nikolaevna, which doesn't fit into the whole idea that Anastasia wanted to erase her identity.--Bovkaffe (talk) 21:56, February 12, 2016 (UTC)

There is actually some debate as to whether Anderson was a deliberate impostor, delusional, or traumatized to the point that she was willing to take on a new identity, and I think we can agree Anastasia wasn't in the most stable mindset when we last saw her. As for the Anne Bonny example, we have an actual source showing us a different date of death. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only exceptions to the birth/death dates are the ones that are explicitly shown to be different, such as Garnier de Naplouse or William of Montferrat. Expanded

I did not even notice this talk page was up until after i reverted the edit where the trivia bit that was removed was reinstated, oops. I reverted it as the trivia bit concerns the real life individual anna anderson who had claimed she was the Anastasia Nikolaevna, thereby i think it is perfectly legitimate for it to be included with the article. That is only my two cents of course.
