Onitake Shrine

Yakami Fort was a fort situated in Yakami in Tamba, Japan.

History

In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke traced a clue to the fort after determing the location of Enju, a teppō smuggler involved in a silver-smuggling ring within Hosokawa Fujitaka's silver enterprise. Catching him selling his wares to bandits, they confronted and assassinated Enju and acquired a teppō Mai's Warning from his personal effects.[1] At some point, the pair returned to the fort, assassinated its samurai daisho, looted a kanabō Tremor Strike from the castle's treasure chest, and climbed atop a watchtower to survey the land.[2]
