Wilf was a 9th century Anglo-Saxon bandit from Ledecestrescire, England.

Biography

Before the 870s, Wilf found a young man named Guthban, who recently lost his mother. Raising him to be a strongman of his group, they swindled and cheated the common people out of their belongings and lives. However, Guthban realized the errors of his life and left the bandits to find a new home, which later happened to be Ravensthorpe. In the 870s, Wilf, wanting his strongman back and hearing of the new settlement, committed a robbery against Tekla and told her about wanting to see Guthban.[1]

Waiting, Wilf was met by Tarben and his clan's shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir, who wanted Wilf to release Tarben from his duty to him. Wilf stated his goods were taken by soldiers from Glen Ford Camp and tasked both of them to retrieve it. They accepted before Wilf at his hideout. After some time, Eivor and Tarben returned as Wilf was thankful of their aid. In return, he gave Tarben the ledger while offering Eivor a place as a thief in his group. In response, Eivor spat on Wilf before leaving.[1]
