Ashigaru
The Ashigaru was one of the many different enemies that Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke encounter in feudal Japan, in their quest to to take down a shadowy organization known as the Shinbakufu and rebuild the decimated Japanese Assassins. These foes were some of the most basic infantry on the Japanese isles, though often operated surrounding major targets intended for assassination. For the most part, the Ashigaru could be considered minor samurai.
The Ashigaru used a variety of weaponry to take down enemies and were usually reflective of the increased dangers Naoe and Yasuke faced as they traveled. It is Ashigaru foes could be found in nearly limitless supply.
Ashigaru took a variety of roles in combat: firing ranged attacks, engaging in close combat with sword and spear, and investigating suspicious areas when their guard is up. They were often ordered around by enemies of a higher rank. Their defense was limited, but they made up the bulk of enemy armies, who worked against the Kakushiba ikki.
