Vanessa was a scientist working in the LOCC in the year 2003, working on the launch of the Beagle 2.
Biography
Immediately after the launch of the Beagle 2, Vanessa nicked the results and routed them to her own laptop, making the mission seem a failure to all the others. After that, she immediately left the building to deliver the laptop to her contact, Robert Getas. On the parking lot, she was stopped by a security guard telling her she forgot to punch out, but the issue was easily resolved by signing a document.
Vanessa went to the cafe where she is supposed to meet Getas, and she soon recognized him. He made his way to her and they started discussing her payment, with Getas telling her the money had been transfered to her account but would stay frozen a little longer because of the bank asking questions with such large ammounts of money.
After leaving the cafe, Getas proposed a new deal to Vanessa, who was hesitant. She told him the entire purpose of the deal they had just made was to never have to work again, but she was scared by the look on his face and didn't dare to refuse either. As she asked him why he was suddenly so interested, he merely nodded. Upon stepping backwards, Vanessa walked into a man that covered her face with a piece of cloth, causing her to lose conciousness.
