Tutankhamun (c. 1341 BCE – c. 1323 BCE) was a pharaoh of the Eighteenth dynasty of Egypt, during the Amarna Period. He was the son of Akhenaten, whom he eventually succeeded.
Upon his ascension as pharaoh, Tutankhamun acquired his father's Apple of Eden. His father installed a monotheistic religion centered around the Apple, which his father and his wife Nefertiti believed to be Aten.
Tutankhamun instead decided to restore the old Egyptian religion. In so doing, he passed the artifact to the priests of Amun, believing they would use it to maintain Ma'at; order and justice for the Egyptian people.
Trivia
- Tutankhamun owned an iron dagger made from a meteorite.
