The Thunder Bomb crippled or injured foes with an intense explosive force. It could be crafted using any shell or gunpowder type combined with the coal dust effect. It was also wielded by Ottoman Bombmen.
It was highly useful for stunning enemies, opening them up for a follow-up attack. However, it did not cause much damage to those affected by it, which made it less effective for direct killing. This did reduce the chance of civilian casualties when they were present.
It was one of two types of bombs that could open up sealed wells, the other being the Splinter Bombs.
