The Temple of Thoth was a temple situated in Hermopolis dedicated to the Egyptian god of magic.

During the mid-1st century BCE, Thoth was replaced by Hermes Trismegistus as the patron god of the city on the orders of Berenike, the Nomarch of the Faiyum Oasis. As commendation, Berenike wrote a letter to the temple's inhabitants, extending her thanks for embracing Hermes and promised they would be well compensated. The temple was later visited by the Medjay, Bayek of Siwa in around 48 BCE.[1]
