Templars

The Knights Templar are the Assassin's "rival" in the Holy Land. They attack Masyaf in the first Memory Block; and after that, any Templar found in the Holy Land will attack Altair without provocation. They tend to attack more rapidly and take more hits than normal guards. You can find them in small villages scattered throughout the kingdom, as well as throughout the cities.

There are 60 Templars within the game world, if found and killed you get the:

Personal Vendetta Kill every Templar. (40 Pts)
