The Sword of Axon

The Sword of Axon was a sword which originally belonged to a soldier who had been forgotten by the 5th century BCE. Despite this, it was believed that the hilt of the blade bore his mark.

By the Peloponnesian War, the sword had ended up in Athens, and it was kept within a chest in the treasury of Parthenon. The Spartan misthios Kassandra sought out and claimed the blade for herself during the conflict.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Sword of Axon, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as the commonly found Obsidian Sword, another weapon in the same game. These are both the recycled model of the Tempest Blade, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins.
