The Surgical Blade was a type of short blade renowned for its exceptionally sharp edge, good for surgeries in ancient Greece.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra acquired the blade after helping Hippokrates to track down the remnants of a hunting party in Boeotia.[1]
