Subject 12 was an individual used in Abstergo Industries' Animus Project, where he was forced to relive his genetic memories. One of his ancestors was closely tied to the Philadelphia Project in 1943, and his reliving of these memories allowed Abstergo to reconstruct the original artifact used in the experiment.[1]
