St-Malo
St-Malo is a port city in northwest France.
History
In the early 18th century, St-Malo was home to notorious corsairs, privateers, and other pirates,[1] some of which would comission sailors to bring them high quality items.[2] The growth of the settlement would also propel trade for exotic items, such as cocoa pods from the Caribbean.[3] Welsh pirate Edward Kenway traded with the settlement a number of times.[1][2][3]
