The Spatha was a type of double-edged long sword used during in classical antiquity.

During the Peloponnesian War the sword was obtained by Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]

Trivia

  • Despite its name, the Spatha is actually modeled after the Xiphos type. An actual spatha's presence in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey would be anachronistic, given it wasn't introduced before the 1st century by the Roman Empire.
