Southern Camp

The Southern Camp was a Abbasid military camp located by the Tigris River southeast of Baghdad. During the 9th century, it was captained by the Turkic admiral Nadir ibn Havid, where he oversees the construction of ships for the caliphate.

In the 860s, the Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq travelled to the camp to hunt down Nadir, revealed as a member of the Order of the Ancients known as Al-A'eshma. After sabotaging and destroying the ship under construction, Basim lured Nadir out in the open and assassinated him.[1]
