Solon (c. 638 – c. 558 BCE) was an Athenian statesman, lawmaker and poet, remembered for his efforts to legislate against political, economic and moral decline in Archaic Athens.

He owned a residence that was located in the northeastern part of Athens, which was visited by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra, during the Peloponnesian War.[1]
