Arion

Arion was a Greek boy who lived during the 5th century BCE.
Son of Anais, an old friend of the misthios Kassandra, and Dantos, he lived with parents on a farm in Arkadia near the Forest of Soron. After his father got conscripted in the army, and he died, he and his mother were left to fend for themselves. He often trained trained to become a warrior, must to the discomfort of his mother.[1]
He could often be found at the Den of Lykaon where he formed a bond with the inhabiting wolves, who protected him. When Kassandra was tasked with finding the boy and return him home, Anais explicitly asked her to not harm the wolves. Kassandra brought the boy back home safe.[1]
Convinced by Kassandra to become a farmer, she learned him to harvest crops, burn old grass, and to kill a chicken.[2]
After Kassandra and Anais went to the market in Tegea the farm was attacked by bandits, and so was Arion. Arion was wounded and angry at his mother and Kassandra for not being trained a warrior.[3]
