Sleipnir was an eight-legged horse in Norse mythology.

Mythology

According to myth, Sleipnir was the son of Loki[1] and the famed mount of Odin, who could quickly carry the All-father between worlds.[2]

Legacy

In 2020, Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relieved Eivor's memories, modified her Animus and included a shield based on Sleipnir in the shieldmaiden's arsenal.[3]

Behind the scenes

Though Sleipnir is the son of Loki in myth, it is currently unknown whether Sleipnir was an Isu, for unlike the other children of Loki (Hel, Fenrir and Jörmungandr) he has not been mentioned during the mythical sections of the game.
