Skíðblaðnir was a mythical ship that could fold down to pocket-size.[1]

Mythology

Said to be big enough to carry all of Asgard's finest into battle, Skíðblaðnir was comissioned to dwarven blacksmiths by Loki, who sought to curry favor with those at Asgard. It was given to Freyr, who was quite pleased with it and forgave Loki's transgressions.[2]

Legacy

In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time at Svartálfaheimr, the All-Father made ample use of the ship to traverse the realm.[3]
