Simpkin

Simpkin was the estate executor for the Kenway family.

Biography

In December 1735, after the funeral for Edward Kenway, Simpkin was introduced to Haytham by Reginald Birch, and told the young man that he would be dealing with his mother while Haytham was in Europe. During the time Haytham was away, Simpkin would keep sending him funds from the estate as well as keeping him abreast of developments regarding the mansion's repairs.

With the passing of Tessa Kenway in 1747, Simpkin approached Haytham with some papers for him to sign, as the family's finances now fell to him. Simpkin also said that he hoped that Haytham considered him "more than satisfactory in managing the affairs so far", to which the man agreed.
