Silenos is a figure in Greek mythology, known for being a tutor and companion to the Greek god of wine Dionysos. He was often counted among satyrs.

During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited a cave named after him within the Silver Foothills on the island of Thasos, Greece.

• The mural depicting Silenos in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey is based on a vase painting from the 5th century BCE.
