Sierra Leone is a country in West Africa, bordering Liberia and Guinea.[1]

Bartholomew Roberts, while evading the British Royal Navy in the early 1720s, stole a number of French ships and sailed them down the coast to Sierra Leone before continuing to raid and pillage along the African coast to Principe.[2]
