Sibrand is one of the nine Al Mualim orders Altair to assassinate. He is found in the Middle District of Acre.

Description

Sibrand is the newly appointed Master of the Knights Teutonic, currently in charge of the port area of the middle district within the city of Acre. His experiences with the Templars and the crusades have destroyed his belief in God, and as such he has become greatly fearful of death.

Sibrand's experiences along with his fellow brethrens public and continuous assassinations, have made him extremely paranoid and he sees enemies everywhere, which has lead to him doubling all the patrols in the Middle District as well as cowaring deep within the docks out of fear that the assassins approach from anywhere, accept surrounded by water so he thinks. He is quick to deal with supposed "traitors". At the time of his death in which Altair is sent to assassinate Sibrand, he is extremely fearful of the Assassins and distrustful of anyone wearing similar robes or attire of any kind, especially Scholars. When sneaking up to his boat, it is easy to hear him screaming "Fine! none of you will lift a hand in defense of your master, I'll take care of this heathen myself!"

Sibrand carries a large bow and wears a horned helmet in battle.

Death

After tracking his movements and whereabouts, Altair locates the paranoid Sibrand in Acre's harbor. There he witnesses the Teutonic Knight execute a supposed "traitor"; a Teutonic monk in reality, an assassin to the paranoid. Afterwards, the assassin trails him across the docks to a ship where he finally ends his life with his Hidden Blade. Altair attends a disturbance within the docks as one with the crowd, turns out Sibrand truly is driven mad by the continued success of Altairs work. As the stories of the Assassins sweep through the land. Sibrand has accused a scholar of being an assassin, poisoned by fear, after further accusations he kills the innocent man. After positioning himself defensively on a ship he intends to sail on. Unknowingly setting the stage for a difficult but not impossible assassination strike on his life. Altair maneuvers above the water safely while slowly approaching his intended target unnoticed. Finally reaching the side of the ship Altair waits as Sibrand begins to shout, at the exact moment an opening appears, the silent and cunning assassin positions himself onto the ledge. Seeing Sibrands attention turned he focuses and suddenly leaps towards the Teutonic Knight, Altairs leading leg slams into Sibrands chest knocking him to the ground. Altair then strikes swiftly by inserting his Hidden Blade precisely into his targets throat, killing him upon entry. Sibrands death marks the seventh in recent Major-Public Figure asasinations and is recorded in virtual history as the third in Acre.
