Arch of Titus
The Arco di Tito (English: Arch of Titus) was a landmark in Rome, located south of the Roman Forum.
History
Built by Emperor Domitian in 82 C.E. to honor his dead brother Titus, the Arco di Tito commemorates Titus's victory in the Sack of Jerusalem. This arch became the inspiration for many arches to be erected thereafter, most notably the Arc de Triomphe in Paris as well as Constantine's Arch.
The real Arco di Tito is covered in inscriptions and reliefs depicting Jewish Temple artifacts plundered from Jerusalem. Despite the great attention to accuracy the game developers gave to every other Roman monument, the Arco di Tito in game is completely bare and nondescript. WHAT DOES ABSTERGO NOT WANT YOU TO SEE?
