Scimitar
The Scimitar is a sword which appears in Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, though for some reason it is not purchasable in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. That also applies to the Maul, Flanged Mace, Channeled Cinquedea, and Florentine Falchion. These weapons can, however, be acquired by disarming a guard while Ezio is equipped with an empty heavy weapon sheath.

History
The Scimitar is an old Middle Eastern sword with a curved blade used by the arabs in horse warfare due to its light weight and ability to slash enemies with ease.
Trivia
Although the scimitar is a Middle Eastern it appears in the Renaissance of Italy whereas it should have appeared in Assassins Creed
