Santino Solari
Santino Solari was the brother of Madonna Solari, owner of the Rosa in Fiore brothel in Rome.
One night, sometime before 1500, Santino went to various houses, asking for information on slave trading and shipping routes, as well as delivering bribes and interrogating people. He was escorted by two of his sister's courtesans, Lucia and Fiora Cavazza. When Fiora asked about his business, he slapped her, and slapped Lucia when she tried to defend Fiora. He forced the courtesans to swear silence, threatening them with a dagger, despite them having learned so little. After he finished, he told the courtesans he would tell his sister of their cooperation, then left.
After his sister was kidnapped and killed by slave traders in 1500, Maria Auditore da Firenze and her daughter Claudia took over the Rosa in Fiore. Angered by this, Santino campaigned for ownership, claiming he owned the brothel and it's courtesans. However, sometime between 1500 and 1507, one of the courtesans at the brothel told Claudia's brother Ezio of Santino's actions.
Ezio tracked down Santino immediately and found him beating up a courtesan. He stopped him immediately, knocked him out and dumped him next to a fountain near the Pantheon, humiliating him by calling him a liar and a cheat. Humiliated, Santino failed to win ownership of the brothel. What he did after this is unknown.
