Saint-Étienne was a church situated on the south of Île de la Cité in Paris, France. It was dedicated to Saint Stephen, who was otherwise known in French as Saint Étienne.

In 886, the church was visited by the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir during her time in Paris.[1]

Behind the scenes

Saint-Étienne is a location in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla's The Siege of Paris DLC. Historically, there existed a church called the Saint-Étienne-du-Mont which is situated near the Panthéon south of the island, built during the reign of King Clovis I. The Saint-Étienne in-game is situated on what is now the Notre-Dame.
