Saika Castle
Saika Castle was a castle of the Ikkō-ikki in Saika in eastern Kii, Japan.
History
In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke ventured onto castle grounds to find any sign of Kyonyo, who was being hunted down by a group of bounty hunters. Finding a trace, they moved towards the adjacent temple grounds.[1] While at the castle, Naoe and Yasuke eliminated three samurai daishos, collected a storage key, and recovered a kanabō Tale Smasher from the castle's chest hidden within one of castle's storages.[2] They also acquired a unique ammo box from one of the castle's residences for Niwa Nagahide's collection.[3]
