The Rostam Sword was a scimitar named for the legendary hero Rostam.

In the 860s, Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq received the sword as a thanks for escorting a weapons dealer allied with the Zanj rebels out of the city.[1] Basim later refined the weapon with the help of blacksmiths in Baghdad.[2]
