Rio de Janeiro
Rio de Janeiro is the capital city of the State of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
History
On 14 May 1501, on his third voyage across the Atlantic Ocean, Amerigo Vespucci reached Rio de Janeiro Bay and Rio de la Plata.[1]
During the Seven Years' War, the Templar Shay Cormac sent troop filled ships to the city in order to help further Templar influence.[2]
By 1719, the Templars had a safehouse located in Rio de Janeiro, which was used to store blood vials containing the blood of members of their Order, including Woodes Rogers and Benjamin Hornigold.[3]
