Readingum Abbey

Readingum Abbey was an Anglo-Saxon abbey at Readingum, Hamtunscire.
History
Around the 870s, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan raided with her longship crew at Readingum Abbey.[1] Within the raid, Eivor also followed up on a clue from the Henge Farm about the identity of "The Oil." Searching the abbey's pig farm, Eivor broke open a closed well, went down to investigate, and found the last clue about The Oil, which gave his true identity to be the priest, Yohanes Loukas, and his current location near Fearnhamme.[2]
Behind the scenes
Historically, the abbey itself was founded in 1121 by Henry I of England.[3]
