Raza Soora was a mute Indian servant in the employ of the Assassin Arbaaz Mir. He is an ancestor to Abstergo Industries programmer, Jot Soora. Born in the slums as part of the Shudras caste, Raza Soora served the higher castes as a servant to Hamid, the leader of the Punjab Brotherhood of Assassins, until he was bought by Arbaaz Mir for one gold coin.

As a servant to Arbaaz Mir, Raza Soora aided the Assassin in tracking down the First Civilization artifact known as the Koh-i-Noor. Although the two were arrested by the British following the discovery, Arbaaz Mir was able to swap the Koh-i-Noor with the fake diamond, allowing Raza Soora to escape with the real artifact. As he escaped, Raza Soora encountered the Princess Pyara Kaur, in tears. In an attempt to comfort her, Raza Soora gave her the Koh-i-Noor, however, she would then use the artifact to ensure Arbaaz Mir protected her grandfather, Maharajah Ranjit Singh.

Although the Maharajah was poisoned by British Templars and the Koh-i-Noor destroyed after being fired at by Templar General Francis Cotton, Arbaaz Mir managed to save the life of Raza Soora by diving with him into a nearby pool and avoiding the subsequent explosion that took place.
